Lower Kindergarten (L.K.G) is the next step in your child’s educational journey, and it can be a little bit tricky to figure out exactly what it means for your child—especially when you’re trying to decide where to send them.
But with our help, you can make sure that your little one is getting the best start possible! We take time to build a strong foundation for our kids from the beginning, so they have all the skills and knowledge they need to succeed at school and beyond.
Smart Curriculum focus areas in L.K.G:-
- Fine motor & Gross Motor skills-Picking/placing and holding objects. Flipping the pages of a book, hopscotch, Hurdle race, balloons and bubble play, outdoor open games and fun and engaging activities strengthen the hand and finger and limb muscles easing day-to-day tasks for the child.
- Social development & Cognitive Skills- Activities like pool lunch, the small group plays, and team, plays help to build socializing skills and language development and sorting, sequencing, creating stories and identifying patterns facilitate brain development.
- Literacy skills- Basic Phonics. Alphabet recognition and writing with proper focus and practice of formations. Aided with activities like Alphabet rainbow and Alphabet treasure hunt etc.
- Numeracy skills- Number recognition and writing and other maths concepts with a practical observation from surroundings and hand-on-activities like jumping on the number, Finding the correct number etc.
- Hindi language- Introduction of swars with a focus on proper formations through worksheets and activities like rainbow writing and finger rolling on sand/ flour etc.
- Moral values & life skills- Basic Indian moral values and life skills through activities like role plays, skits etc.
